Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. orzo
- 1/4 C. oil (or a little less)
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1-1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2-3/4 C. water (don't add until later)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Combine orzo, oil and spices in a pan and mix well. (Pan size: about half the size of a 9x13, but deep, or big round pan)
- Place pan in oven for 10 - 15 minutes, or until farfel is browned.
- Mix 1-2 times during baking so it doesn't burn.
- Add 2-3/4 cups water and cover tightly with foil.
- Bake covered for 1 hour.
- Keep tightly covered until ready to serve.
