Farfel

Ingredients

  • 1 11 oz. pkg. Farfel
  • 3 T. oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic or onion powder
  • 1 1/2 T. sugar
  • 1 quart water

Instructions

  1. In a 3 quart saucepan, brown farfel in oil for 3-5 minutes, stirring continuously.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  3. Cook for 20 minutes over low heat or until water is absorbed.
